So, I heard you like yummy food pictures! These may not be real food, but my brain and stomach both would argue they're as good to look at as the real deal. Here are some very lovely gifsets of anime food, because I think everyone deserves to look at these at least once in their life:

And here's some food I made myself recently-- it's a Filipino tamarind-based stew called sinigang, made in large batches for lots of eating, lol!

Would you mind sharing the recipe for the sinigang? A tamarind based stew sounds amazing! I don't think I've ever eaten anything savory with tamarind.
Thank you for this.😊
You really made me want to go cook some yummy asian food.

Ingredients:
- Roughly 2 pounds of short rib, sliced into chunks about 2 inches wide. (you can also use pork and other things but you have to google how to handle these because I am not a jack of all trades in the long-term meat boiling department)
- One large onion
- 3 or 4 roma tomatoes
- One long eggplant
- Some mystery amount of green beans or long beans
- Some mystery amount of okra (about the same amount as the beans-- like 12 oz maybe? whatever your heart desires)
- One package of spinach (I do not know how to describe the size of the package. go with your heart)
- Fish sauce
- 1 or 2 packets of Mama Sita's Sinigang Sa Sampalok Tamarind Seasoning Mix -OR- Knorr Tamarind Soup Mix (Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix) -- actually just anything that says "sinigang sa sampalok" and is about this size would be fine
PROCEDURE:
1) Get a big pot! A very big pot. I cannot tell you what the size of the pot is, it's just gotta be big. Fill that pot with maybe, like, 2 quarts of water of something. I don't know, it's simultaneously not a lot of water and a lot of water. Whatever you do the first time, it will let you know what to change for the next time (wisdom).
Anyway, boil this water! Put the meat inside. Turn it to a simmer and then keep that meat in there for around two hours.
2) You can dice the onion and tomatoes now. They should be chunky pieces, because they're going to shrink in the soup. You can plop them in there right after the meat if you want. You can also add bouillon cubes if that's your desire, but it's not a necessity or anything.
3) Prepare the eggplants, green/long beans, and okra! Cut the eggplants into circular slices about half an inch thick, cut the green/long beans into some standardized size that you will enjoy putting into your mouth, and chop the tops off of the okra. Set these aside.
This is the part where you wait for the meat to be tender. It will take a while. You can play a game or something in the interim.
4) The meat is presumably tender! Add the green/long beans and the okra. Wait for those to be about cooked to your liking, and then add the eggplant. Wait for that to be pretty cooked as well, and then add the spinach. This is pretty much just the "put the veggies in so they're all cooked at the same time" game, and once you know that, you can add whatever vegetables you desire and play god with your stew. Your mistakes will be your own but you could feasibly stumble across something magical.
5) Add the one or two sinigang sa sampalok mix packets. You could also do this the hard way and use actual tamarind, but this is my recipe, so you're getting the abridged version. Grab the fish sauce and flavor to taste! Whatever amount you feel in your heart is right is probably right. It is easy to go overboard with the fish sauce while the soup is really hot, so you can wait for it to cool down a bit so you can taste it easier.
And that's your sinigang! Now, you've probably guessed that there is a lot of stuff you can customize here. From different meats (even no meats) to different veggies and... well, just different meats and veggies, because that's about all this is, you're pretty much the master of your own soup fate. You can refrigerate this and reheat as you wish! We typically put some rice into the bowl to eat it, but you can do whatever you desire.
I'm pretty sure I got everything down there, so... Enjoy! ^^

I wrote a short ficlet for you - it takes place during v4 but makes callbacks to Red Zone.

Tony swims into consciousness, and his assurance he’s awake is immediately called into question. Although, if his subconscious wants to give him dreams of Steve Rogers cradling him in his lap, it’d make sleep that much harder to resist.
“You’re awake?” Steve doesn’t move away as he looms over Tony. Tony, to his credit, doesn’t move either. Steve’s in his Commander uniform, sweat making his hair stick to his head. Tony’s in his armor, sans helmet. Tony recalls being on-call for Luke’s Avengers, joining them on a mission to dig out an AIM cell. But now he’s on a quinjet with Steve. The moment lingers, like they’re holding a bubble between them, waiting for it to pop. Tony’s not going to pop it, and he suspects that Steve is refusing to, probably on principle.
Tony can barely reconcile the Steve who had screamed in his face not too long ago and the Steve above him now, brows furrowed with worry rather than fury. Tony’s voice is scratchy when he speaks. “What happened?”
“You took a bad hit, and stayed down.” Tony…doesn’t remember that prat, and his confusion must show, because Steve’s eyes flash. “One that shouldn’t have kept you down. Stephen said it might be residual effects from you wielding the Infinity Gauntlet.”
Now that Steve has the idea in his head, he’s never letting it go. “I’ve taken many bad hits. It happens,” Tony insisted. “But you’ve never let me put your head in your lap. Taking new steps in our relationship, aren’t we?”
Steve frowns down at him. “I’ve…done this before,” Steve said. “Remember? When we were in Oklahoma, and you saved me when I had passed out from the poison gas.”
Damn. Not that Tony would regret saving Steve’s life, but now he’d have to live with the fact that his untimely unconsciousness had lost him the memory of something that went beyond his wildest dreams “I missed that?”
The corner of Steve’s mouth lifts. “Admittedly, you were unconscious.” Then, like cold water douses their moment, Steve looks away. “Just something else you can’t remember.”
Tony doesn’t know how to talk about those demons he can’t face with Steve. He can’t apologize for something he doesn’t remember. So, he deflects. “So, you’re here to recreate the memory with me?”
To his surprise, Steve considers the question. “I was waiting for you to wake up back then, too. Except this time, you finally did.”
Tony swallows nervously in the face of Steve’s worry he’s wearing on his sleeve. “Glad I could finally live up to expectations for once. Although, now I’m learning I have to get knocked unconscious to wake up to a Steve Rogers lap pillow…”
Steve scowls, and Tony’s not sure if it’s because of the flippancy or the flirting. “On second thought, scratch that. I don’t think I want to. I’m a futurist. I’m more interested in making new memories.” It’s the bravery and stupidity of waking up from a head injury, so Tony takes his shot, and winks.
Tony resists the urge to punch the air as Steve huffs, his expression softening as he reaches down and strokes Tony’s hair.

I'll definitely continue to participate in the server and events. It takes me a while to get over my social anxiety, but I'll get there eventually!

I am not currently playing anything cool, just a bunch of nonogram games, but I am really looking forward to playing Heaven's Vault, which is an adventure game where you piece together translations of an alien language, which I think sounds super cool. I'm also looking forward to playing Danganronpa which I know everyone played years ago, but I just got the Switch version so it's new and exciting to me.
If you actually want games about mecha, one I've played a fair amount of is Into the Breach which is turn-based strategy where you field a team of three mechs against alien invaders. It's on a grid, and the gimmick is that you know what move the enemy will make next turn, so you have to figure out how to conquer it. The other mecha game I've played a lot of is Ironcast, which is a very weird match-3 Victorian steampunk game where you must defend England from other mechs; it's a little deeper than it sounds like and you get to customize your mech loadout and all that good stuff.
The weirdest science fact I have recently learned is that being in space gives you anemia and no one knows why.
Also, you said you liked TOS K/S, and being as it's Valentine's Day I gotta rec aldora89's The Squire of Eros, in which Trelane comes back to ruin Valentine's Day. LLAP!

I like Danganronpa because it reminds me of a mashup of Phoenix Wright and the Nonary games, but i haven't actually played it. I did watch most of the game play for the first one in YouTube (lol) so that's also on my list of to buy soon.
Also TOS K/S rec! You're spoiling me! Thank you so much. This is wonderful. 😊

i also wanted to recommend for your robot enjoyment: love, death + robots on netflix - it's a series about different robot imaginings in many genres, in all different very impressive animation styles. particularly rec the following episodes: 2.2: Ice, 2.4: Snow In the Desert, 1.16: Lucky 13, 1.7: Sucker of Souls, 1.14: Helping Hand, 1.13: Fish Night, 1.17: Blindspot
have a good one!

love, death + robots has actually been in my list to watch for a while, I'll bump it up and let you know what o think of those episodes. I love a good animated series.
Thank you!

For video games... I'm a terrible stick in the mud and end up playing the same games for years: Skyrim, Sims, Stardew, etc.
But, I really loved Subnautica if you haven't gotten into that yet. It's a survival crafting game that does a fantastic job of making you feel very small in a world of things that are huge and will eat you. It's not a horror game but it really taps into the monkey part of your brain that fears the unknown, depths, and wide open expanses devoid of cover.
Thomas Was Alone is a cheap and surprisingly compelling game in which all the characters are geometric shapes but they 100% are characters with personalities and stories.
And if you're interested in a casual, soothing game, DorfRomantik is a really pretty landscape tile matching game.
no subject
DorfRomantik looks exactly like the kind of game I could spend hours on, so hopefully it'll dethrone civilization 6. xD
Also thanks for the rec. I'm pretty sure I've read most of Festive Ferret's ults but not the MCU. I'm actually not very good at picking up MCU fics (because until this year I'd only watched a handful of the movies) so I'm actually happy when people rec me MCU fics!
There's so much of it and it can be overwhelming.

My love for science aside, UV is something I've been particularly interested in so this was a really fun watch. Thank you so much and happy stocking to you too!

For video games, I really enjoyed Oxenfree which is a cheap game that you can get on Steam or various consoles. It follows a group of high school kids who go to an island overnight to hang out and accidentally open a ghostly rift. It's beautiful, eerie, and atmospheric, and that applies to the story too. I'm so excited that the sequel is supposed to come out this year! I never thought there was going to be one. Depending on how you play it, the ending will be different.
Since you like robot/mecha stuff and anime, I know a lot of my friends like Tiger & Bunny. It's a bit old now, but the second season is supposed to come out next month or so, I think. I've only watched the first two episodes so I can't really say much about it. I'm just trying to go in with an open mind since everyone loves it so much and see where the story takes me. The main characters both wear robot suits though so maybe you'll like it too. :)
I don't know if you know this artist already, but since you like Daredevil, one of my favorite Daredevil artists is murdockquills!
And for pics of yummy food, I came across this food Instagrammer a few weeks ago and was blown away by her photos: twiggstudios
