ahhhh book recs I guess (I love all your likes, what a good combo of likes!):

You'd be the third person during this stocking fest (at least lol) that I have recced "In Other Lands" by Sarah Rees Brennan too but I don't care, it's one of the best books I've read in the last couple of years.

"This Is How You Lose The Time War", Amal El-Mohtar, Max Gladstone = v. good. h/c, angst with a happy ending, v beautiful writing. <3

V.E. Schwab's "Vicious" and "Vengeful" are amazing, friends to enemies, I can't talk about it coherently without lots of exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Her Shades of Magic trilogy is also v. v. good.)
