- Tony is a villain but not really a villain, more an antihero that sauntered downwards. A simple job goes sideways and he has to save Steve, cus it's Captain America! But now he's in the awkward position of having saved a hero and Steve is in the awkward position of being saved by a villain.
- Steve is newly thawed but the time and tech is now. He unexpectedly finds himself having fallen for Iron Man, a marvelous robot Mr. Stark built and assigned to their team, and he doesn't know what to do about that. Meanwhile Tony has been secretly piloting the suit remotely and has no intention of telling anyone while his health deteriorates. He can help people as Iron Man and for some reason Captain American seems to like him.
- The Avengers get drug to a fancy society party and of course Tony is smiling that smile that will get him a companion for the night. After all these years, Steve has decided he wants to the be the person riding home with him tonight. Now... how does he say it and will Tony even be interested?
- Before the shield, Steve used to fantasize that he had to give himself over to his landlord to make rent. Now-a-days it's okay to go with men, but that fantasy lingers and well... Tony technically is his landlord...
- Steve has a thing for the armor and wants Tony to double team him with it.

“Unhand me!” Captain America’s voice rings loud and clear. Tony winces and keeps holding on.
“Don’t you see that I’m trying to save you? Even super-soldiers can’t survive a laser slicing them in half.”
The thing is, if Tony were to let Cap go, he’d splatter on the ground like an overripe grape, and that would be the end of America’s favourite superhero.
Tony doesn’t want to be labelled as Cap’s murderer. His reputation is shitty enough as it is, and he’s barely avoiding getting caught by the Avengers already, so he really can’t afford it. Plus, Cap is kind of, unfortunately, something of a childhood hero of Tony’s. Not that he’d admit it, of course. But he had a serious crush. And being this close to Cap, staring into his sky blue eyes, holding him pressed against his chest, well. It’s not exactly making the crush go away.
He puts an additional ten percent more power in his thrusters and makes a sharp bend. He needs to find a way to lose the flying laser-shooting robots on his trail, but he’s not confident enough in his flying without his hand stabilizers to try the kind of manoeuvres that would make the robots crash into the nearby buildings. Maybe he should really drop Cap.
Then all the trouble you went through to save him from AIM’s attempted execution would be for nothing, wouldn’t it? an annoying voice in the back of his head reminds him. Unfortunately, it’s right.
He sighs. Cap’s not going to like what he’s about to say.
“I can’t escape the robots while I’m holding you, and I can’t drop you because then you won’t be protected by the armour’s force field. I need you to hold on to me so that I can use my hands.”
Cap scowls at him.
“You’re asking me to cling to you. Iron Man. A villain.”
Yes, that’s exactly what he’s asking.
“Just for a few minutes, so that I can shoot the robots down. I promise I’ll drop you off on the nearest roof when I’m done.”
He knows his word as a villain doesn’t have much value, but he’s betting on Cap’s survivor instinct. He must know they don’t have much of a choice here. And, sure, he knows that Captain America working together with Iron Man is not what either of them want, but this is what Cap gets for letting himself be kidnapped.
Cap sets his jaw, wriggles around in Tony’s hold, and then he’s clinging to Tony like a koala, strong thighs squeezing around his waist, arms looped under Tony’s armpits. Tony very firmly doesn’t think about how suggestive their position may or may not be, and turns his palms out.
Fighting now, dealing with the fallout of rescuing Captain America later.

but are you sure you can't keep readin Discworld? (lol)
Dianna Wynne Jones - Howl's Moving Castle and its sequels, Castle in the Air and House of Many Ways (and if you like her style she's written lots of other fantasy). If you've seen the movie, I heard someone say that the difference is that the book is in Sophie POV and the movie is in Howl's. If you even remotely liked the movie then read the books!
Chris Wooding - Poison - fantasy, twisted fairy tale which is what makes it cozy for me
You've probs heard this one being flung around but: Martha Wells - The Murderbot Diaries series of novella - artificial construct goes rogue and ... brgrudgingly helps people (in space) while watching lots of drama tv. It's in 1st person which I don't usually read but these are EXCELLENT I promise.
Becky Chambers - A long long way to a small angry planet, To be taught if fortunate (novella) and all her other works - space exploration, cozy found family vibes, queerness, some AIs
Garth Nix - The Old Kingdom series - fantasy, one world with magic, one without and Sabriel the heroine crosses over and has adventures (a bit dark iirc actually, but there's a lot of cozy nostalgic value there for me)
... wish I could think of more cozy/funny SF/F, looking froward to seeing what other people rec, I guess :)
Re: but are you sure you can't keep readin Discworld? (lol)
I've read a few of the Murderbot books but her others. I should check those out.
I've read some Nix, it was hit and miss for me that I haven't read that series.
And yes, I've gone through a lot of Gaiman and Adam's cus of course. Those two are completely required. ^__^ Sandman's Death is still my favorite Death, even over Discworld.
Thanks for the recs and sorry I'm so late.
Re: but are you sure you can't keep readin Discworld? (lol)
Well's Books of the Raksura series basically reads like lots-of-intricate-world-building polyamorous wingfic with a semi-outsider pov haha so it's a very different vibe than her Murderbot series in a lot of ways, I think? A well written romp if you like that romance fantasy vibe. I haven't read anything else outsider of that and Murderbot yet, but I know she's got a couple of other shorter series and some standalones I think? Thanks for the reminder to request 'em!
Haha, there's no such thing as a late reply when it comes to these - hope that you enjoy some new books in the next few months <3

_____
Before the shield, Steve had this fantasy.
Being attracted to men wasn’t an acceptable thing when he grew up. Not something you could tell your ma or your friends about. Not anything you could act on, unless you wanted to risk a hell of a lot. Unless you found someone who understood.
Steve had always been afraid of the consequences, from humiliation to being beaten to jail. Or worse. He’d never been able to put himself out there like that. He was brave about a lot of things, but it was hard to be brave about that.
But if it hadn’t really been up to him, if it was a matter of necessity, well maybe that wouldn’t have been so bad.
So he’d had this fantasy.
Times were tough those days, it was hard making rent after food and bills and medicine. Landlords never went easy on you, though. They always expected to be paid.
So Steve imagined falling short, and visiting the landlord to ask for a little more time to get some more money. The landlord said no, of course. He didn’t want to wait to be paid. This was the only day.
But if payment was an issue, well... Steve could always pay him in another way. It would confuse him at first, but then he’d understand when his landlord put his hand on his belt, and looked at Steve with lust in his eyes. He was asking Steve to give himself over to him. For rent.
It was a shameful fantasy, but it got Steve hard and ready to come like nothing else, rutting into his mattress and hiding his groans in his pillow.
These days, Steve was many decades away from that time when getting with a man was a shameful, illicit deed. Steve could go to a bar, if it was the right kind of bar, chat a man up and go home with him. He could also go out on a date with a man in a restaurant or to the movies. It was a wonderful thing.
But still.
That fantasy, it lingered. When Steve wanted something to really get him going, to send adrenaline and lust coursing through his veins, it was what he thought of.
But it had changed, slightly. The landlord in question used to be a vague idea of a man, not anyone specific. Not a very kind man, demanding, but handsome. Someone Steve would secretly want to pleasure even if it was a hard thing to admit. But nowadays?
Steve had a landlord. Technically. He was also his best friend and his colleague and entirely off limits. But Tony Stark was the most handsome man Steve had ever seen, was rich enough to fit the fantasy nicely, and Steve was living in his mansion. Rent-free.
Steve liked to imagine that he did have to pay rent, but that he didn’t always have enough, and he had to make it up to Tony through other means.
Steve felt a little bad about the fantasy. It was inappropriate and Tony would never do such a thing… but that didn’t stop Steve from thinking about it. From wanting it. Because the fact that it was Tony he was thinking about, made the whole scenario feel so real. Not just a ridiculous fantasy.
But he could never tell Tony. Humiliation was still a very real factor here, and Steve couldn’t bear it.
Steve was absolutely ravenous. It had been a brutal mission and he’d given it his all, and now the need to stuff himself full had taken over. He was practically inhaling a gigantic sandwich filled with everything he could get his hands on from the fridge.
“Wow,” a voice came from the doorway, after Steve had taken his last bite. “Impressive,” Tony added. He was leaning against the door frame, smirking at Steve with a devious look in his eyes.
Steve blushed. “I was a bit hungry.”
“A bit? You’re eating me out of house and home, here. I ought to start charging you.”
Steve froze. It was a joke. This was Tony. He loved to tease. That’s all it was. But Steve’s heart pounded in his chest, and he’d just been thinking about this last night.
“What if I couldn’t afford it?” Slipped foolishly right off his tongue.
“Huh?” Tony’s brows scrunched, utterly bewildered.
Steve should stop now. Laugh it off. Pretend it was nothing. But he’d started it now, and he just couldn’t convince himself to back away. “What if I had to pay you to live here, but I couldn’t pay. What would you do then?” Steve held his breath, internally squirming as he waited for Tony’s response.
“I. Uh.” Tony was silent for what felt like minutes, but was probably only a few moments. “I might ask you… to pay another way?” He asked, uncertain.
“Yeah?” Steve asked eagerly.
“Yes,” Tony said, a little more decisively. “I’m sure I could think of a lot of ways I could be… compensated. I’m a reasonable man.”
Steve’s breath was speeding up, so excited that Tony seemed to be playing along? Maybe? Until Tony coughed, broke eye contact, and refused to meet Steve’s eyes.
“Listen, I have some projects that need tinkering, so I should probably…”
Steve’s heart fell. “Oh, okay.”
“But listen. If we’re on the same page about—whatever just happened here, if you think you might want to talk about uh, alternate forms of payment. You could come by my room later. If you want.” His eyes darted back to Steve’s, and he licked his lips nervously. “That could be, yeah.” They held eye contact for a few moments longer. “Okaygottagobye!”
Tony fled the kitchen, leaving Steve sitting there in an absolute daze.
Calm. Down.
Steve tried in vain to stop the racing of his heart, but it was impossible. He was standing outside Tony’s door, hand fisted, ready to knock. About to fulfill one of his oldest and most fervent fantasies. That couldn’t be what was happening, could it?
But Steve couldn’t think of a single other way to interpret what Tony had said in the kitchen. It wasn’t a joke. Tony hadn’t been joking. He’d been as nervous as Steve, it seemed like. But, interested, too. So all he had to do was knock.
Steve took a deep breath. Another. Knocked.
“Come in,” Tony’s voice echoed from inside.
Steve pushed the door open, and stepped inside.
“Close it.”
He felt so nervous, at the firm quality of Tony’s voice, even though he knew. Steve closed the door. The sound of it echoed loudly in the ensuing silence.
The overhead light was off, a few lamps giving off enough light to see each other, but left plenty of shadows, too.
Tony stood in the center of the room, scrutinizing Steve. “Thanks for coming by.”
“No problem.”
“Yes, well, there's a little problem. I haven’t received any payments from you this month, Steve. You’re two days late.”
Steve’s stomach clenched anxiously, and his dick twitched. “I, um, well it’s quite a lot of money, and—”
“But it’s a nice place. I’ve been very generous, wouldn’t you agree?”
“Of course, Sir. Very.”
“Good. So the payment? You don’t have it?”
“No, I don’t.”
Tony sighed sadly. “Now that is unfortunate. But I really must insist, Steve.”
“But I don’t—” Steve frowned in confusion.
“Now, now, I don’t want to make things difficult for you.” Tony took a step back, and sat down on the end of his bed. “But surely you can think of some other way you could compensate me, hmm?” He spread his legs slightly, and ran a casual hand down his thigh, his meaning clear.
It was Steve’s fantasy come to life.
He stepped forward in something of a trance and fell to his knees in front of Tony. He didn’t even register the sting.
“Will this be enough?” Steve asked. “My mouth?”
“Hmm, only if you’re very good.”
That made Steve’s blood run hotter. He would be. He’d make sure of it. There was simply no other option.
He leaned forward, nuzzling against Tony’s crotch. Inhaled. He ran his hands along Tony’s thighs, moved his fingers to purposefully undo his belt, his button. Lowered his zipper. Pulled his pants below his ass and down to his ankles. With very little help from Tony. Who simply watched Steve’s movements with amusement curling his lips.
Steve leaned forward again, and rubbed his face against Tony’s cock through his underwear. Tony may have been acting cool, unimpressed, but the tip of his cock was wet, soaking through his briefs. Steve rubbed his tongue over the spot.
“Mm, very nice,” Tony said, running his hand over Steve’s head. “Skin would be nicer.”
Steve moved his head away, slid his hands over Tony’s hips, dipping his thumbs below the waistband of his briefs, rubbing against the skin of his hips. He curled his thumbs around the band and pulled them off, catching slightly on Tony’s dick before it came free, smacking Tony’s stomach. The head was a deep red, and come was dribbling from the tip. Steve was mesmerized, watching the way it bounced.
“Enough staring, Steve. One would think you like this, hmm? Not that it’s the only thing you have to offer.” He smirked, reaching out to trace his thumb over Steve’s bottom lip, pulling it down slightly. “Better offer me something good.”
Steve fell onto Tony’s cock. Licking every inch, sucking the head, swiping the come off his tip, stroking his tongue down to the base. He mouthed it all over until it was slippery. He felt… desperate. Like this was the first time he’d ever been close to a man this way. Like he just had to have this. Like it was his only chance to feel this way.
Steve sucked on Tony’s cock, bobbing up and down. Pulled back and sucked on the head. Took him in again and carefully eased him down his throat. Swallowed. The sound of pleasure that Tony made at that was one of the most satisfying things Steve had ever heard.
“Oh, your mouth is heavenly. I’m close, so close.” He was breathing heavily, hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. Tony’s hips unconsciously moved towards Steve’s mouth every time he took him to the back of his throat. Moments later Tony’s palms moved to hold Steve’s head in his hands, stilling his movements so that he could thrust up a few last times, before he came down Steve’s throat, crying out in ecstasy. “Oh, god, Steve.”
Tony collapsed on his back the moment Steve pulled off him, laughing breathlessly. “That was… something else.” After a few moments Tony lifted himself on his elbows to peer down at where Steve was still kneeling at the foot of the bed. Steve felt suddenly self-conscious. The fantasy had shattered and they were back to being Steve and Tony, friends, colleagues. Not… this. Whatever this was. What happened now?
“Not how I ever pictured this happening, but you know, whatever works for you.”
Steve felt his cheeks heat, and he looked at the floor.
“Hey, now. I’m not trying to embarrass you. That was… magnificently hot.”
Steve’s gaze shot back up. “Oh yeah?”
“Mm-hmm. I love a good fantasy. I have many of my own that include you. I was more than happy to play yours out. I’m just… Steve. Never would’ve guessed what was going on in that dirty brain of yours.”
“Stop.”
Tony chuckled. “Okay that time I was trying to embarrass you.”
“Jerk.”
“Did I mention that was great? Like I would let you off the hook for rent every month for that.”
Steve shivered. He was suddenly aware of his throbbing cock crying out for some attention.
“That really does it for you, hmm?”
“It just feels so wrong, so forbidden… but also like everything I secretly want. Especially from you.”
“How sexy. Come up here, Steve. You’re feeling pretty desperate, aren’t you?”
Steve climbed onto the bed and collapsed on Tony without removing a stitch of clothing—a clear indication of his desperation. As was the way he nudged his dick against Tony’s thigh. He wasn’t grinding it, he just needed a little pressure or he was going to go insane.
Tony chuckled. “Needy. You’re lucky I’m a benevolent landlord, or I might leave you hanging.”
Steve narrowed his eyes playfully. “What’s your favorite fantasy about us?” He asked, unable to contain his curiosity, and turned on by the thought of Tony thinking about them.
“Ah, well. I do have this particular one that keeps me warm on lonely nights.”
“Yes?”
“You’re my friend and teammate but secretly you’re actually in love with me. You’ve just never been brave enough to tell me how you feel, until now. No more lonely nights for either of us.”
Steve gasped. “Tony.”
“What?” He shrugged nonchalantly. “It’s fun to pretend, right?”
Steve shook his head. “It wouldn’t be.”
“Fun?” Tony teased, but Steve could see the tension in his eyes.
“Pretend.”
“You saying you love me?”
“Yeah. I love you.” Steve had realized the truth of it the moment Tony had spoken the words. Had known that what Tony was describing was him. He had been afraid, so afraid of what he felt for Tony. It was easier, maybe, to confine it to fantasy. Not real. Not going to happen. But the moment the fantasy became real the possibility for more had also come to life.
Tony exhaled shakily. “That’s… good. Would’ve been really awkward if you didn’t, huh? I wasn’t even planning on saying that, you know? I have so many sexy fantasies stored away, but you wanted my favorite and I couldn’t seem to lie.”
“I’m glad you didn’t. I was hoping this wouldn’t be a one-off.”
“Yeah. Wouldn’t want that.” Tony agreed, looking awestruck.
“You’re more shocked by this than the fantasy aren’t you?”
“Uh, yes. That was incredibly surprising, this is downright… unbelievable.”
Steve shook his head and pressed a long, lingering kiss to Tony’s lips. “You just need to understand how beautiful you are. All of you.”
“I’m so in love with you.” Tony’s eyes were full of adoration, a little watery from the intense emotions. Steve had assumed Tony was feeling the same as him—but hearing it really was an entirely different thing. Steve felt alive. And really turned on still. “Tony,” he pleaded, rubbing himself a little harder against Tony.
“Ah, look at me neglecting you this way. I’m sorry, sweetheart. I’m usually a much more conscientious lover. Not usually distracted by all these feelings.”
Steve grinned at the way he said it with such distaste. “I’ll forgive it. Since I’m rather pleased about those feelings you’re having.”
“Oh you will, will you?” He asked, encouraging Steve to roll over onto his back so that he could pull off his pants. He didn’t give Steve the chance to answer because he distracted him with kisses instead. Enough talking apparently, it seemed Tony was determined to make Steve keen with pleasure. Not moving his lips from Steve’s, Tony used every trick in the book to make Steve feel wonderful with his hands.
He ran his hands over Steve’s chest, played with his nipples, trailed his fingers teasingly on the skin above his cock. Tony grasped the base of it in a tight grip and jacked him steadily. He played with Steve’s balls with the other hand and teased his perineum. He made Steve twitch, moan, and sigh with pleasure. It wasn’t long before Steve was thrusting into Tony’s hand and groaning with release.
“You’re really good at that,” Steve said dazedly.
Tony grinned delightedly, “Why thank you.” He leaned forward and kissed his cheek. Then he kept kissing his way to the curve of Steve’s neck, settling his face there with a content sigh. “I could just stay here forever.”
“We might need to clean up a little.”
Tony sighed. “Soon. Comfy.”
Steve hummed, also feeling warm and comfortable with Tony in his arms, and disinclined to move.
“I’ll be right back.” Tony disappeared for a few moments, and Steve closed his eyes feeling distinctly sleepy. Next thing he knew he was being wiped down with a warm, damp cloth, dried off too, and Tony’s body was once more pressed against his own. It felt rather like perfection.
“You’re staying, right?”
“Of course,” Steve answered with a smile. Where else would he go when everything he needed was right here?
Tony kissed his neck. “Night.”
“Good night,” Steve brushed his fingers over the back of Tony’s head, and drifted off to sleep.

I never actually published these on AO3, but they are probably the fluffiest things I've ever written! In short, a friend and I had an Avengers Babies AU (from the A-Babies vs X-Babies one-shot comic) where Steve and Tony are next-door neighbors and childhood friends! So here are some links to some Google Docs containing their adventures! I hope they make you smile :)
Saving Bucky Bear - this is actually the original baby fic I wrote - it's a crossover with Marvel Adventures:Avengers, and kind of set the characterization for baby Steve in the AU!

Hm, have you played Cat Cafe Manager? besides being about... managing a cat cafe, it's actually set in a fantasy town with cat gods and witches. You get to know the villagers as you build up your cafe and get to get to know the cats as well. It's really chill and relaxing.

Two video games I’ve adored lately are Aka and Röki.
Aka (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1591450/Aka/) is about a red panda who helps other animals on a small group of islands. There’s a giant capybara who Aka can nap on! Aka makes a shiba inu friend! He feeds baby dragons! He farms! He recycles!
Röki (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1067540/Rki/) is a puzzle/story/adventure game. The main character is a girl trying to save her little brother. I love everything about the graphics in it--the compositions, the movement, the creature designs, the settings, the collectibles. I learned how to use a controller properly for the first time in my life to play this game.
