Hello, hello!

Here is a happy fic rec that I think you might like-- it's heavy on the comedy, and the premise is basically "Dracula is Tony's dad, and Tony and Steve are together!" It's called Meet the Parents by jellybeanforest and it continues to be one of my favorite happy things I've ever read.

I've also written something in the past that I think you might enjoy-- First Impression-- that involves some funky incognito hero work and functions as a soft little "getting together" thing, I think.

I wrote a short little MCU Steve/Tony ficlet for you that's fitting to the season :) I hope you enjoy it!

Tony nearly passes right past the kitchen doorway before doubling back. “Oh, hey Cap!”

Steve startles as Tony makes a beeline for him.

“Here. From one Avenger to the other.”

Steve takes the red box, adorned with a pink ribbon, face startlingly blank.

“Chill, Cap. Your face could read more of a pleasant surprise instead of trying to decide if you have to defuse it or not. Happy Valentine’s Day.”

“I…”

“Oh, you forgot?”

“No,” Steve responds immediately, “I didn’t forget.”

“Well, what is it? People can’t give their teammates chocolates?” Well, people crushing hard on their insanely attractive and, loath as Tony is to admit he used to be wrong, good to his core, and to top it all off, almost unbearably intriguing teammate should probably not be giving said teammate an entire box of curated chocolate. A man less infatuated would have bought boxes and left them in the communal kitchen to pick at their leisure. A more capable co-team leader would have bought a box with a good variety of crowd pleasers instead of fixating on Steve’s offhand comments on his sweet preferences (the man has talked about being a big fan of caramel.)

“No, of course they can. Thank you, Tony. I really appreciate it.” Steve turns his thousand-watt smile on Tony, and god, yes, spending an hour of his literally-worth-thousands time was completely worth it.

“No problem. Need to show appreciation for my favorite Captain,” Tony says, and Steve chuckles. It only pings Tony now, that Steve’s shifting on his feet. He hasn’t even bothered opening the box. It strikes Tony, that Steve’s nervous. Is it the Valentine’s thing? It’s…it’s not just chocolate for Tony, but it could be just chocolate for Steve. No need for it to be anything more. Yet Tony wonders if he’s crossed a line, somehow. “You know I’ve given you weirder stuff. This is practically normal.”

“No, I love it. Thank you, really, Tony. I just—” Steve’s still smiling, but his cheeks are starting to flush red. “It figures. I should have known you would beat me to it.”

“What are you talking about—“

From out of absolute fucking nowhere, Steve produces a single red rose, and holds it out to Tony.

“Tony, will you be my Valentine?”

I've got some happy fic recs!

You've probably read everything by her, but almost all of BlossomsintheMist's fic is extremely happy, and one of the things she specializes in is extremely fluffy PWP; I can recommend all of her Kinktober 2017 stories.

Phenominable_Snowman has a lot of short fic, much of which is very happy. They're all just short little vignettes but mostly they strike me as being really positive. I rec Underground and I'm glad I didn't die before I met you.

Panickyintheuk's Inconveniences Rightly Considered series is fluffy MA:A with a bunch of identity porn.

On the MCU side, JenTheSweetie has a lot of Steve/Tony fic, much of which is very fluffy and funny, and a really great grasp of character voices. I rec the truth is and The Ballad of Captains America.

- Lead and I'll Follow by Woad: Under orders, Captain Rogers prepares for a gala by taking dance lessons. He's not sure how Fury persuaded Adventurer Tony Stark to give said lessons, though. For comm prompt: For one night, Steve and Tony try to forget there's a war going on as they slow dance, alone in a cozy room.

Summary: In Tony’s opinion, the only thing worse than having a crush on Steve is: having a crush on Steve while Steve won’t shut up about how great Tony is.

Notes: This is adorable! And happy! Scaramouche does that well.

- Must Love Dogs - softanticipation
Summary: Steve doesn't need to know much about Tony Stark to want to keep sleeping with him. In fact, he'd prefer to keep it that way.

But when Tony meets Steve's dog and gets unexpectedly attached, Steve has some decisions to make regarding his four-legged best friend and the guy he might know better than he thinks.


Notes: Meet cute...sort of? Definitely a get-together. It's very cute and ends happily.
