as for book recs... i enjoyed the following last year:
- Ninefox Gambit (and the rest of the Machineries of Empire trilogy)
- Raven Tower
- Our Dreams At Dusk

I actually have The Raven Tower and all the Machineries books on my Kindle... and haven't read them yet. *looks sheepish* I will have to get around to them soon. I have never even heard of the last one, so I will definitely have to check it out.

I should've mentioned that Our Dreams in Dusk is also known as Shimanami Tasogare elsewhere, and it's an LGBT+ focused manga series. Rec'd it since it recently got an English release (available through... less legitimate channels...), and it's got a lovely atmosphere to it. I'm glad to be able to provide a new rec :)
