Comics Steve/Tony: 616, Noir, Bullet Points, 1872, Deathlok Steve

Other Fandoms/Ships/Characters: Bucky/Tony is my fav. I also like Sergey Razumovski/Oleg Volkov from Major Grom/Plague Doctor comics

Likes: angst with a happy ending, pining, insecurities, falling in love because of character and not looks, Misunderstandings, Identity Porn/Secret identities, slow burn, longing, h/c, secret relationships, mistaken for a villain, forbidden love, medieval/Fantasy AUs, devotion and protectiveness, demisexual characters, enemies to lovers. generally focus on feelings/plot over porn is good. SECRET IDENTITIES.
Bullet points AU where Steve survives. Medieval-inspired Fantasy AU with King Tony (and maybe Secret Identities? or protectiveness and devotion??). 2-person love triangle, aka pining for the same guy in 2 different identities. A scene where Steve and Tony are walking around, and someone tries to mug them because he didn't recognize who they are (to their bewilderment and amusement). Post Civil War angst and get back together. Civil War fix-it where they manage to talk it out and get together during the fight in casualties of war. Slavery AU with difficult power dynamics but trying to do right by the other and unexpected chances for healing. A slavery-as-norm AU where Tony and Steve play their roles in public but are in cahoots to change the world for the better. Deathlok Steve reluctantly coming to Tony for help, lots of unresolved feelings, with at least a hopeful ending. 1872 fix-its. AI Tony fix its that involve the angst but also that AI Tony and regular Tony "fuse" back together, or such (as opposed to them staying two different beings).

Dislikes: dubcon/noncon between the OTP, eye gore, very descriptive torture/body horror, permanent major character death, daddy kink, actual mpreg, bathroom kinks, public sex, age play, random A/B/O AU of an otherwise unrelated prompt, D/s verse (a normal universe with a D/s relationship is good though), cheating (Mistaken for cheating is good though), unhappy ending, sex without romance, pwp, smoking, eyelid kissing, Tony with JUST a mustache (Goatee is SO much better), Bucky calling people "doll" all the time, Winter Soldier and Bucky as different personalities, kidfic, I’m usually not super into lust at first sight, but that may depend on the prompt

Non-fandom related requests/anything else?: Fic (or art) recs with one or more of the things I like, especially: slow development of feelings, secret identities, Fantasy AUs, mistaken for a villain, enemies to lovers. Vegetarian (or vegan) recipes that are simple/little effort, and/or require mostly shelf-stable ingredients.

Hello Wren! I’m glad to be your friend. Even if things haven’t really happened the way we thought they would, I have hope for this new year. Anyways. I heard that apparently maybe you like medieval AUs? 😉

Tony was tired. He’d been tired for many months, ever since the unrest at the western border of his kingdom had started. The summer had been plagued by heavy rains, the crops rotting where they stood, and winter was coming. If he did not provide his subjects with food soon, they would starve, or rebel. Tony could not afford that, not with the war brewing on the west. Armies were moving and fortifications were being built, new troops stationed at the border with his kingdom.

His best spies were being sent to scout the enemy, Lady Romanoff expertly directing them from the shadows. Each report that came in was more alarming than the last. King Schmidt had grand aspirations, he was getting ready to fight on several fronts, all in the name of expansion.

It was only a matter of time. Tony was moving his own armies, directing his smiths to forge more swords, spending late nights discussing with his royal advisors. Duke Rhodes had not left his side in hours today, standing over maps, drawing up strategies, barely stopping to eat or rest.

Tony trusted his friend. He knew they had the technology and manpower to win, but the problem was the food. He needed to set up trading with allies and needed to keep the roads safe for the food to come.

He rubbed at his brow, headache brewing. It was already well into the night. A glance to his left told him that Rhodey was still bent over the map of Stark forest. He was the last of the advisors to be there, even the servants had been dismissed already.

“Go to bed, Rhodey. The map will still be there tomorrow,” he murmured.
Rhodey looked at him, his eyes sharp but exhausted, and bowed.
“Good night, sire.”

After he left, Tony let himself sag in his chair, hand coming up to press against his heart. The scars were aching again, pushing his heart into an irregular rhythm.
He’d call on the court healer tomorrow.

He slowly started disrobing, stiff from sitting all day. He was down to his breeches and tunic when a voice sounded from the other side of the door.

“Your majesty! I bring urgent tidings!”
It was Lord Barnes, the commander of Tony’s secret guard. Tony sighed. If he was requesting an audience at this time of night, it truly was urgent. He donned his robe again, hastily tying it shut, and opened the door. James bowed deeply before entering, chest heaving. He’d been scouring the kingdom for the last week, searching for enemy spies. He was still in his riding gear, clearly having run from the stables all the way to the royal chambers.

James straightened out and reported evenly:
“We have captured the enemy Knight Rogers. He, along with five others, was found not ten leagues from here. They carried parchment and ink. I suspect they were attempting to draw precise maps of your lands, my liege.”

A burst of life struck Tony. They had Knight Steven Rogers? He could almost not believe it. The famed knight was rumored to have the ear of King Schmidt himself. Tales of his strategic and fighting prowess had impressed even councilor Fury. Even though he was just a knight, he obviously was very valuable to Schmidt. He knew a lot. If they could pry that knowledge out of him, it might be the cue to their victory.
Tony wanted to see this man for himself.

“Excellent work, James. I would like to see him.”
James raised an eyebrow, but didn’t comment further.

It was a matter of minutes before they arrived at the cell where Sir Steve was held.
A guard raised the torch, and the knight was revealed. He was sitting on the cot, hands between his knees. There was blood on his breeches, glimmering wet in the light. He was wearing simple leather attire, the only metal on him the blue-silver chainmail peeking through at his collar. He had straw-colored hair, just a tad too long for propriety. His jaw carried the ghost of a beard. But most striking of all were his eyes. A deep piercing blue, fixed unflinchingly on Tony.

Those eyes spoke of a steel will. Tony knew, without a doubt, that any attempt at torture would yield nothing but silence out of the knight.
A more diplomatic route would have to be taken.

“Are you Sir Steven?” Tony asked, careful to infuse his voice with cold detachment.
Sir Steven looked at him in silence for a long moment, almost long enough to border insulting, before he spoke.
“Indeed I am. Your guards have bested me, and I surrender to you, King Stark.”

He kept his eyes on Tony the entire time. Clever, to surrender explicitly. As a knight, he had the right to certain accommodations when held prisoner. However, his status as a spy, and so close to the outbreak of the war, would make it more than legitimate for Tony to have him tortured for information and thrown into the darkest cell he owned.
Rogers had to know it, and still he didn’t cower.
Tony regarded him and reflected.

Sir Steven would not betray his king lightly. But if the tales about his virtuousness were to be believed, he had a noble soul. Tony might be able to convince him that a war would only lead to death and destruction. If appealing to his better nature did not work, he could always try to sway the knight to change loyalties by promising him lands and riches. It was truly astonishing that he was only a knight. If he had been in Tony’s service, he would have been at least a Baron already.

Sir Steven Rogers was a man shrouded in contradictions.
Tony was intrigued despite himself.
He made his decision.
“Have his wounds treated and a bath drawn up. Sir Steven is my prisoner and will be treated as such. Bring him to my chambers tomorrow in the morning.”
He was going to find out who Steven Rogers really was.
