Comics Steve/Tony: 616, Noir, Bullet Points, 1872, Deathlok Steve

Other Fandoms/Ships/Characters: Bucky/Tony is my fav. I also like Sergey Razumovski/Oleg Volkov from Major Grom/Plague Doctor comics

Likes: angst with a happy ending, pining, insecurities, falling in love because of character and not looks, Misunderstandings, Identity Porn/Secret identities, slow burn, longing, h/c, secret relationships, mistaken for a villain, forbidden love, medieval/Fantasy AUs, devotion and protectiveness, demisexual characters, enemies to lovers. generally focus on feelings/plot over porn is good. SECRET IDENTITIES.
Bullet points AU where Steve survives. Medieval-inspired Fantasy AU with King Tony (and maybe Secret Identities? or protectiveness and devotion??). 2-person love triangle, aka pining for the same guy in 2 different identities. A scene where Steve and Tony are walking around, and someone tries to mug them because he didn't recognize who they are (to their bewilderment and amusement). Post Civil War angst and get back together. Civil War fix-it where they manage to talk it out and get together during the fight in casualties of war. Slavery AU with difficult power dynamics but trying to do right by the other and unexpected chances for healing. A slavery-as-norm AU where Tony and Steve play their roles in public but are in cahoots to change the world for the better. Deathlok Steve reluctantly coming to Tony for help, lots of unresolved feelings, with at least a hopeful ending. 1872 fix-its. AI Tony fix its that involve the angst but also that AI Tony and regular Tony "fuse" back together, or such (as opposed to them staying two different beings).

Dislikes: dubcon/noncon between the OTP, eye gore, very descriptive torture/body horror, permanent major character death, daddy kink, actual mpreg, bathroom kinks, public sex, age play, random A/B/O AU of an otherwise unrelated prompt, D/s verse (a normal universe with a D/s relationship is good though), cheating (Mistaken for cheating is good though), unhappy ending, sex without romance, pwp, smoking, eyelid kissing, Tony with JUST a mustache (Goatee is SO much better), Bucky calling people "doll" all the time, Winter Soldier and Bucky as different personalities, kidfic, I’m usually not super into lust at first sight, but that may depend on the prompt

Non-fandom related requests/anything else?: Fic (or art) recs with one or more of the things I like, especially: slow development of feelings, secret identities, Fantasy AUs, mistaken for a villain, enemies to lovers. Vegetarian (or vegan) recipes that are simple/little effort, and/or require mostly shelf-stable ingredients.

Hi Wren! <3

I have recs for you!! I hope you don't mind that one of them is MCU, you didn't mention MCU in your 'other fandoms' but I know you like it, soooo <3

The first one is this cute and soft epistolary fic by AvengersNewB called Seeking Companionship. It's set in 616 and it made me so emotional haha

The second one is starkparade's Avengers Twilight fic (and it's okay if you haven't actually read Avengers Twilight, because I think the fic does a good job explaining everything you need to know.) with you (in never-ending twilight)

And the third one is, again by starkparade, a post-MCU Civil War fix-it! Making the Right Call

Alsooo I made you a moodboard! I see you like happy endings for Civil War, so this is from What If: Civil War, where they talk and figure things out <333

I hope you like these! <333

Stocking for wren :)

Hello Wren! I’m glad to be your friend. Even if things haven’t really happened the way we thought they would, I have hope for this new year. Anyways. I heard that apparently maybe you like medieval AUs? 😉

--

Tony was tired. He’d been tired for many months, ever since the unrest at the western border of his kingdom had started. The summer had been plagued by heavy rains, the crops rotting where they stood, and winter was coming. If he did not provide his subjects with food soon, they would starve, or rebel. Tony could not afford that, not with the war brewing on the west. Armies were moving and fortifications were being built, new troops stationed at the border with his kingdom.

His best spies were being sent to scout the enemy, Lady Romanoff expertly directing them from the shadows. Each report that came in was more alarming than the last. King Schmidt had grand aspirations, he was getting ready to fight on several fronts, all in the name of expansion.

It was only a matter of time. Tony was moving his own armies, directing his smiths to forge more swords, spending late nights discussing with his royal advisors. Duke Rhodes had not left his side in hours today, standing over maps, drawing up strategies, barely stopping to eat or rest.

Tony trusted his friend. He knew they had the technology and manpower to win, but the problem was the food. He needed to set up trading with allies and needed to keep the roads safe for the food to come.

He rubbed at his brow, headache brewing. It was already well into the night. A glance to his left told him that Rhodey was still bent over the map of Stark forest. He was the last of the advisors to be there, even the servants had been dismissed already.

“Go to bed, Rhodey. The map will still be there tomorrow,” he murmured.
Rhodey looked at him, his eyes sharp but exhausted, and bowed.
“Good night, sire.”

After he left, Tony let himself sag in his chair, hand coming up to press against his heart. The scars were aching again, pushing his heart into an irregular rhythm.
He’d call on the court healer tomorrow.

He slowly started disrobing, stiff from sitting all day. He was down to his breeches and tunic when a voice sounded from the other side of the door.

“Your majesty! I bring urgent tidings!”
It was Lord Barnes, the commander of Tony’s secret guard. Tony sighed. If he was requesting an audience at this time of night, it truly was urgent. He donned his robe again, hastily tying it shut, and opened the door. James bowed deeply before entering, chest heaving. He’d been scouring the kingdom for the last week, searching for enemy spies. He was still in his riding gear, clearly having run from the stables all the way to the royal chambers.

James straightened out and reported evenly:
“We have captured the enemy Knight Rogers. He, along with five others, was found not ten leagues from here. They carried parchment and ink. I suspect they were attempting to draw precise maps of your lands, my liege.”

A burst of life struck Tony. They had Knight Steven Rogers? He could almost not believe it. The famed knight was rumored to have the ear of King Schmidt himself. Tales of his strategic and fighting prowess had impressed even councilor Fury. Even though he was just a knight, he obviously was very valuable to Schmidt. He knew a lot. If they could pry that knowledge out of him, it might be the cue to their victory.
Tony wanted to see this man for himself.

“Excellent work, James. I would like to see him.”
James raised an eyebrow, but didn’t comment further.

It was a matter of minutes before they arrived at the cell where Sir Steve was held.
A guard raised the torch, and the knight was revealed. He was sitting on the cot, hands between his knees. There was blood on his breeches, glimmering wet in the light. He was wearing simple leather attire, the only metal on him the blue-silver chainmail peeking through at his collar. He had straw-colored hair, just a tad too long for propriety. His jaw carried the ghost of a beard. But most striking of all were his eyes. A deep piercing blue, fixed unflinchingly on Tony.

Those eyes spoke of a steel will. Tony knew, without a doubt, that any attempt at torture would yield nothing but silence out of the knight.
A more diplomatic route would have to be taken.

“Are you Sir Steven?” Tony asked, careful to infuse his voice with cold detachment.
Sir Steven looked at him in silence for a long moment, almost long enough to border insulting, before he spoke.
“Indeed I am. Your guards have bested me, and I surrender to you, King Stark.”

He kept his eyes on Tony the entire time. Clever, to surrender explicitly. As a knight, he had the right to certain accommodations when held prisoner. However, his status as a spy, and so close to the outbreak of the war, would make it more than legitimate for Tony to have him tortured for information and thrown into the darkest cell he owned.
Rogers had to know it, and still he didn’t cower.
Tony regarded him and reflected.

Sir Steven would not betray his king lightly. But if the tales about his virtuousness were to be believed, he had a noble soul. Tony might be able to convince him that a war would only lead to death and destruction. If appealing to his better nature did not work, he could always try to sway the knight to change loyalties by promising him lands and riches. It was truly astonishing that he was only a knight. If he had been in Tony’s service, he would have been at least a Baron already.

Sir Steven Rogers was a man shrouded in contradictions.
Tony was intrigued despite himself.
He made his decision.
“Have his wounds treated and a bath drawn up. Sir Steven is my prisoner and will be treated as such. Bring him to my chambers tomorrow in the morning.”
He was going to find out who Steven Rogers really was.

Happy stocking day! I drew you a Steve with a magic sword. I like to think he’s a knight who just happens to not be wearing a shirt. For reasons. Who knows, maybe King Tony will want to look at him…

Haha wren, I love how all the Bucky/Tony art that immediately came to mind that I was going to rec you were MTH stuff that you won. 😄 When I think of Bucky/Tony, you're the first person I think of.

Here are some simple vegetarian (most of these are vegan or can be made vegan too) recipes that I've made/had and I find yummy:
- Brussels sprouts with walnuts and pomegranate - the most annoying part of this is dealing with the pomegranate, but there are tips online on how to get the seeds out easily or you might be able to find a package of seeds at your grocery store/market)
- smashed chickpea salad sandwich
- broccoli pesto pasta with green olives
- baked oatmeal - good if you don't like oatmeal and if you want a quick breakfast throughout the week
- tzatziki sauce

Hi Wren!! Thank you for being so fun and talented, I always enjoy seeing you around the server squeeing! I hope you stick around for a while to come and hope you enjoy the server in 2025 as well!!

Here is a fill for "Medieval-inspired Fantasy AU with King Tony (and maybe Secret Identities? or protectiveness and devotion). I hope you like it!

---

"Who are you?"

The living armor turned toward him. Where its face would be were slits. Set inside the slits, something blinked. Tony thought its eyes were blue.

"I have no need of a name." Its voice was unlike any human voice Tony had ever heard. It must have been magicked, although Tony could have told you that from the sheer amount of mana emanating from the armor.

"You saved my life." Tony kept eye contact with the living armor as he leaned over to pick up what he'd dropped during the ambush. The sword glistened, shining beyond the precious, priceless metals of the hilt and blade. The sword of the king gleamed in the hand of its wielder, light reflecting off the surface of the living armor, until Tony sheathed it. "You saved me, so your name deserves to be known."

"King Anthony…"

"No, that's my name," Tony grinned when he realized the living armor's silence was born of exasperation. "Keep your secrets, then. I will simply tell others that I was saved by the Iron Man."

"Iron Man?"

"I don't imagine you would wear a full suit of armor and refuse to respond to royalty if you didn't have secrets to keep. So I've bestowed you with your own name. A gift from the king, for saving my life."

"I-I have no need of a reward. But…" The living armor remained silent for a long moment. That was fine. Tony could wait.

The living armor - the man inside the armor - came to a decision. "I will accept your name."

Tony smiled. "Good."

"I didn't know you had an interest in deciphering runes yourself, now."

Steve startled. "Your Majesty!" He should have heard Tony walk in. Steve had been..distracted, as of late. "Should you be up?"

"You're as bad as Lady Foster," Tony scoffed. "I'm fine. My ego ended up more bruised than my body. Those kidnappers should be shamed. Speaking of which, have you any word?"

"No," Steve replied. "The Widow has been investigating since you went missing, but she has yet to make a report."

Tony smirked. "That lightens my unease rather than anything. It means the lady Romanova has found a lead too good to let go of to do something as irrelevant as reporting to the king." Tony studied Steve. "Are there any thoughts you want to share about Natasha, my royal advisor?"

"No, I trust Natasha to take care of herself," Steve said. "She wouldn't be one of ours - one of yours - otherwise."

"You still worry, though."

"They managed to kidnap you."

"I was careless, going outside the castle grounds on my own. It wasn't the first time, nor will it be the last."

"Tony," Steve said, "please be reasonable. You just came here from the infirmary."

"Well, dead people can't rise from their graves to move to a safe area. There's only so far my royal authority can go."

Tony's parents' graves were, of course, within the castle grounds, at the royal cemetary. The only grave he could visit outside the castle was…

"She wouldn't have wanted you to be in danger," Steve implored. "At least, let me know. Or Happy, he would make sure you're properly accompanied."

"Yes, let's wake up the entire keep because the king is in a mood. Even my father didn't stoop that low."

"Tony…"

"So, repulsor technology?" Tony asked, dropping the topic.

"You can read this?"

"Those hours of language study really did pay off. I'm no translator, but yes, I can make it out."

"From what you told me, repuslor technology should be what powers whoever saved you."

"Oh!" Much to Steve's chagrin, Tony brightened. "The Iron Man!"

"Yes," Steve gritted out, "the Iron Man."

"What can you tell me about him?" Tony asked. "I've never seen magic like his. Whoever created it must be some sort of prodigy."

"The Iron Man didn't create it himself," Steve said shortly. "And prodigy is far from how I'd describe its originator."

Tony frowned, but leaned in when Steve shifted his pages of notes over.

"The Iron Man is a cursed artifact. It's the experimentations of a cruel king, who charged his battle mages to create the ultimate armor. It saps the life force of its wearer to generate its own weaponized mana. It's powered by the agony of the person wearing it. Whoever is inside it, who would use a weapon like that, isn't to be trusted."

"Shouldn't it be the opposite, my dear Captain?" asked Tony. "Shouldn't someone who is willing to go so far as using their own mana as a power source, just to be able to join the fight, be admired?"

"Admired because of their desperation?" Steve retorted.

"Desperation? We don't know that," Tony said. "What we do know is, this Iron Man hasn't done anything besides save my life. If this man really is in such intense suffering, just for a king that doesn't know his name or face...For all his heart, I'm not sure what's going on in his brain."

"M-my lord," Steve stuttered. "you mustn't say things like that."

"Right," Tony sighed, "I'm the king now. I have to hold the highest opinion of myself, so that everyone else does too, right? It was so much easier to be self-deprecating as an unruly prince."

"I meant nothing of the sort!" Steve objected. "You're the first king in my lifetime who values peace over expansion. Who wants the people to prosper, instead of the nobles. Iron Man being your loyal subject is the least surprising part about this whole thing."

"So, I can't trust Iron Man because he's using dangerous magic, but I can trust him because he's a loyal subject." Tony straightened. "I don't need to know his secrets, or why he's doing this. All I need to know is that he'll protect this kingdom and its people, and apparently he's doing so at the cost of his own life. But who knows." Tony sighed. "Maybe he won't ever show up again. Maybe it was a one-and-done."

Steve wiped sweat with a handkerchief absentmindedly.

"We have to approach it that way. We don't have a method of contact, and as much as you're grateful to him for saving your life, we don't know his intentions."

"Voice of reason as always, Steve," Tony said.

"That's what I'm here for. Of course, I can't be on the battlefield with you, sire," Steve said. "I just urge you to exercise caution out there, if you must insist on going out."

"Are you saying you don't trust Rhodey to keep me safe?"

"Sir Rhodes has been by your side since you were squires, sire. I have no doubt in his loyalty. Moreover, Rhodey's armor was crafted by your own hands."

"Don't go telling me about how my crafts are worthwhile because they're made from God's chosen," Tony scowled.

Of course not. Tony was a genius craftsman in his own right. If anyone had to have all the qualities of handsomeness, brilliance, courage, generosity, and kindness, it should be Steve's king.

"Well," Steve began, "you were made in God's image, and therefore anything made from your head is…inspired."

"I'll take the credit where it's given," Tony laughed. "But, you've been here for a long time, too," he pointed out. "Not as long as Rhodey, but I almost don't remember what it was like to have my trusted advisor bark back at me." Tony rubbed at his temple, and Steve resisted the urge to reach out and lay his hand over Tony's.

"You need to rest, Tony."

"Perhaps you have a point." Tony replied, which meant that he was just about to collapse on his feet. "You're not going to sleep, yourself?"

"Not yet," Steve said. "I wanted to finish going through these notes."

"For all of your distrust, you might even more fascinated by the Iron Man than I am."

"This has nothing to do with the Iron Man. It's about keeping you safe."

"You say the loveliest things sometimes, when you're not ready to bite my head off."

"I'm about to do that, if you don't get yourself to bed."

"Yes, yes," Tony laughed. He laid a hand on Steve's shoulder. Steve didn't watch him go, but he heard the door shutting behind him.

Steve toppled onto the table, gasping. He wasn't sweating anymore. The table burned beneath his body, even though that was his own body burning from the inside-out. Steve slid to the cool floor, his fingers twisting in his shirt, over his chest. The hammering of his heartbeat didn't stop, and he wheezed, almost throwing up sick all over the floor. Against his better judgment, Steve fumbled his fingers, unbuttoning his shirt to reveal the shining stone set in his chest.

Reed Richards frowned at Steve. Steve blinked at him as pieces of metal locked into place aorund him, leaving only his head free.

"I understand why you had to do this, last time. Lord Stark was missing, and it could have been a matter of minutes between our kingdom remaining intact and a succession crisis. But now? Your Majesty would never approve of this, if he knew."

"Against all better judgment, he trusts and respsects the Iron Man. We'll use that to our advantage. What Tony doesn't know about Iron Man's identity won't hurt him. There's still people out there who would have him kidnapped, or worse."

Steve didn't need Tony to trust the Iron Man, or to grow closer to whoever was inside him. All Steve needed, was for Tony to be safe.

Hey, Wren! It is so great having you around!

Alas, I did not manage to write you anything this time but maybe next year I can summon up some more Winteriron. :D

I see that you wanted enemies to lovers fic recs and I thought "hey, what about that one Steve/Tony MCU story where Tony was sort of a villain and kept trying to seduce Steve and there was a whole bunch of identity porn?" and then I spent twenty minutes looking for it and discovered it was still a WIP. Anyway, if you haven't read it, I recommend The Corruption of Captain America by the Villain Tony Stark because right now the only thing I remember was that it had a lot of identity porn.
