I knew Steve became a Mets fan, but then I second-guessed myself and thought that I might have headcanoned it very hard and maybe it was possible that I made it all up because it's been years since I last saw the panel or heard about it. Of COURSE the Mets have to be his team. If he has to pick a New York team, there's only one option for him. Also, the Mets suck so...hey, he can root for an underdog except rooting for the Mets is a generally miserable experience so that might not be the best choice.
